Ski Edition

It’s ski season and Tara is breaking down the essentials for the chicest ski-style looks that are both functional and fashionable for all of your après-ski, slopeside lounging, and cold-weather travel needs. This ski season, I’m blending technical performance and elevated silhouettes with intentional layering whether you’re actually skiing or just sipping warm drinks fireside. Here are three ski-style looks that balance fashion and performance.

Look 1: Elevated Apres-Ski Uniform

Here is an elevated Après-Ski uniform perfect for lodge lounging, après cocktails, resort dinners and beyond. These pieces feel modern, luxurious and chic and photography beautifully. Opt for a tailored quilted ski jacket to layer atop a chunky ribbed turtleneck sweater with high-waisted wool or fleece-lined pants and finished with a cozy pair of shearling-lined boots, oversized sunglasses and soft leather gloves.

Tara’s Style Edit: Neutral palettes think ivory, camel, black all photograph better against snowy backdrops and feel more timeless than neon or bold colored ski gear.

Look 2: On-The-Slopes, Bit Make It Chic

On-the-slopes, but make it chic. This look is perfect for skiing, snowboarding, and all your cold-weather activity days. Be sure to pack a fitted technical ski suit or matching set for these days and don’t forget a performance base layer, preferably in merino wool. Add your favorite insulated gloves and helmet-friendly beanie and edgy, reflective or mirrored goggles for that cool-girl-on-the-slops look.

Tara’s Style Edit: A matching ski set instantly elevates your look and eliminates outfit decision frustrations - delivering high impact with low effort.

Look 3: A Cozy Travel Day Look

A cozy travel day to the mountains means airport travel, scenic drives, check-in drama, and so on. On these days, be sure to keep it comfortable and stylish and not in the way. I like to travel in a long wool coat or belted puffer, a luxe cashmere jogger set, of course my favorite beanie and oversized scarf and weatherproof boots with great tread.

Tara’s Style Edit: Grab comfortable separates that move easily and can be styled with other pieces, giving your packed wardrobe more mileage while you’re out of office.
